Refund & Cancellation Policy

DBAudit

Last Updated: May 2026

This policy explains when refunds are available, how cancellations work, and how to submit a refund request. By purchasing a paid plan on DBAudit you agree to the terms below.

1. Paid scans only

DBAudit does not offer free scans, trial audits, or a free product tier. Running assessments and accessing scan results requires a Quick Scan purchase or an active subscription. You may have an account without an active paid plan for profile and billing management; that state does not include scan credits or audit access. Where no qualifying payment applies, refunds are not available.

2. Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account billing settings.
  • Cancellation disables auto-renewal. Access continues until the end of the current paid billing period; after that, paid subscription scan entitlements end. Your account may remain without paid scan access until you purchase again.
  • Cancellation alone does not entitle you to a refund for the remaining period.

3. Refund eligibility window

If you upgrade to a paid plan and it is not a fit, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the purchase date, provided your account has operated within normal usage parameters and has not violated our Terms of Use or Security Assessment Authorization Agreement.

Refund eligibility within the 7-day window is limited to accounts that have not exceeded reasonable use for the plan during that period. Accounts that have conducted a high volume of scans, generated significant report output, or otherwise extracted substantial value from the plan in that window may not qualify.

4. Approved refund scenarios

Requests within the 7-day window will be approved for:

  • Duplicate billing — you were charged more than once for the same plan period.
  • Documented technical failure — a core platform feature did not function as described and our support team was unable to resolve it within the eligibility window.

5. Non-refundable circumstances

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

  • Change of mind or a decision that the plan no longer fits your requirements.
  • Unused subscriptions or scan credits. Not using your plan, not running any scans, or simply forgetting to cancel before a renewal does not qualify for a refund.
  • Scans run with incorrect, invalid, or unresponsive targets — including wrong project IDs, invalid API keys, misconfigured credentials, or test account details that do not exist on the target system. Scan credits are consumed on execution and refunds are not issued for this reason, but you are welcome to contact us through the support channel in the product and we may issue a credit to re-run the scan at our discretion.
  • Audits that return zero findings. A completed report with no issues identified constitutes full delivery of the Service for that scan. The absence of findings reflects the state of the system tested, not a failure of the platform.
  • Issues caused by your own environment, configuration, third-party services, DNS setup, or browser extensions outside DBAudit's control.
  • Policy violations, misuse, unauthorized testing activity, or accounts suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Use or Security Assessment Authorization Agreement.
  • Requests submitted after the 7-day eligibility window has elapsed, regardless of reason.
  • Chargebacks or payment disputes filed with your bank or card issuer without first contacting DBAudit support. Initiating a chargeback without prior contact may result in permanent account termination.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund, contact us through the support channel available inside the DBAudit product within 7 days of your purchase. Include the following in your message:

  • The email address associated with your DBAudit account.
  • Proof of payment (receipt or transaction ID).
  • A brief description of the reason for your request.

Requests that appear deceptive or designed to circumvent this policy will be declined. DBAudit reserves the right to make the final determination on all refund requests.

7. Processing

  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
  • DBAudit does not issue refunds as credits, gift cards, or alternative payment forms unless required by applicable law.

8. Policy updates

DBAudit may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that transaction. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
